Background

Jennifer L. Pomeranz, JD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in Public Health at Temple University. Prior to joining the Temple faculty, Ms. Pomeranz was the Director of Legal Initiatives at the Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity at Yale University and an Adjunct Instructor at New York University Steinhardt School. Ms. Pomeranz speaks and publishes on subjects including: the First Amendment, preemption, regulating over-the-counter products, food labeling, weight discrimination, food marketing to children, and innovative legal solutions to obesity. Ms. Pomeranz is the Policy Chair of the Health Law Section of the American Public Health Association and the official liaison between the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Public Health Association. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School, and her Masters of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
