The world is rapidly evolving in a manner that demands great change. At the Vitality Institute we are committed to innovation in health, uniting unlikely partners in order to address the most pressing health issues of our time and effect positive change for entire populations.
Background
Dominic is an Intern at the Vitality Institute. His work focuses on the impact of aging and cognitive decline on the financial services industry, and how artificial intelligence and robotics can alleviate some of these challenges. Dominic is currently a Master of Health Administration candidate in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. While at Columbia, he worked with the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation in their efforts to create and implement Lean process improvement initiatives and on long-term strategic planning.
Prior to attending Columbia, Dominic studied Political Science at Wake Forest University and worked in the district office of New York State with Assembly Member Daniel O’Donnell. He has significant experience with government policies and procedures, particularly as they impact individuals across the insurance and health care spectrums.

Coinciding with the release of the World Report on Ageing and Health, October 1 marks the 25th annual International Day of Older Persons as designated by the United Nations (UN). This year’s theme is “60+ counts!” with a focus on sustainable aging in urban environments.


National Senior Citizens Day 2015
Today, on National Senior Citizens Day, it is imperative we acknowledge the contributions made by our older grandparents, parents, family, friends, and neighbors. However, it is important to realize that our seniors still have much to offer. As we move into the next few decades and beyond, this population segment will only grow in importance.
